Today Katie is married to Sundance Burke who had
had his own awakening before meeting Katie and becoming her husband. The
two of them travel extensively teaching the essence of enlightenment and
the Truth of who/what we really are. I am very privileged to bring them to my friends in the LA area for an evening and full day of intensive teaching. Here is one of my favorite quotes from Katie's new book, Awake Joy: "The 'me' is the knot that is obscuring the Heart, the Truth of who you really are." Here is another: "This book is not a psychological or therapeutic guide about how to change your life story in order to be more joyful. I am suggesting that you leave the story alone for awhile and turn you attention to the storyteller. In your willingness to surrender the teller of tales, joy naturally emerges and the life story transforms to reflect that joyful transcendence." I encourage you to attend with me this sacred event and to realize the law of ascendance which supersedes the law of attraction.

A Personal NoteAs I write this, my story of moving continues. As regular readers know, my wife, Sheila, has been living a couple of hundred miles away for over a year. After repeated attempts to sell our home, we have given up and are now leasing it instead. I intend to make my move to the Porterville area at about the same time that Katie and Sundance's Intensive will be going on. Oh yes, I will be there. We will pack the day before and we will be moving the day after! The awakened state brings with it a desire to live in a place more aligned with that frequency. Katie lives in Maui and I hear the Sierras calling me. The next few days should finalize things. But to my friends in the LA area, I will be back! About
15 years ago Awakening hit me like a ton of bricks! But as they say, I
didn't know what hit me. It took about ten years for me to personally integrate
what had happened and to meet my mentor, Katie Davis. Katie's
awakening was even more radical than my own. One day she was teaching
aerobics in her studio in Seattle and in the next moment everything
changed. She describes this sudden shift in her new book, Awake Joy.
About twelve years later she met Eckhart Tolle and was invited to assist
him on tour and eventually worked in his office.
